Ancient & Modern City of Wellbeing

Bath has drawn visitors to its natural thermal springs since Roman times. The 2000 year old thermal baths are one of the finest historic sites in Northern Europe and it's not hard to see why; it is fascinating to explore the Baths,  walk on original Roman pavements and visit the ruins of the Temple of Sulis Minerva.

Fashionable Georgians flocked to Bath; drawn by society and the allegedly curative powers of its waters.  Much of Bath's stunning architecture dates from this period including the iconic Royal Crescent and Circus.  Follow in the footsteps of the celebrated leader of fashion Beau Nash, who presided over Georgian Bath's social life, and enjoy your own wellness and relaxation experience.  Boutique shops, markets and restaurants await, and a diverse calendar of theatre, comedy, music and literature events.  Why not take a modern day dip in Britain's only natural thermal waters at Thermae Bath Spa, or spend an afternoon in some of Bath's diverse and respected museums and galleries.

Explore some of Bath's seven enfolding hills by walking the Skyline Walk.  The National Trust's most downloaded walk nationally, this 6 mile circular walk will take you along Bath's skyline hills and through ancient woodlands and pretty valleys.  The great National Trust estates of Prior Park, Dyrham and Stourhead are all within easy striking distance, as are quaint Somerset, Wiltshire & Cotswold villages and towns, and the energising city of Bristol.  Beautiful walking & cycling countryside, and fabulous country pubs abound.  Or stay close to your home from home - and stroll back from a day in town along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal to your picturesque village retreat (stopping perhaps for a pint at the George, our 400 year old canalside village pub), and fall asleep to the gentle gurgle of the ancient “dog’s head” fountain in the street below.

Very quiet location. Perfect location for getting about. Two minutes walk to the bus stop. Buses always on time. Five minutes walk to the nearest pub. Accomodation is perfect for a couple wanting a relaxing break in a very relaxing location. - Andrew

Wee by name but great in every way
The location of the property in the village close to the canal and the pub as well as the bus stop is exceptional. It looks tiny from outside but is a bit of a tardis inside with lots of space all well furnished and very comfortable. There is also a very private courtyard providing outside space. The property is very well equipped all round. The owners are very friendly and helpful with good suggestions for places to eat etc.  -Anthony

Lovely cottage accommodation that can't be faulted, 30mins walk down the canal into Bath City Centre. Local pubs on the door step. Would definitely recommend and return for another visit in the future - Jonathan
